Frequently Asked Questions

Good to Know

What is the difference between Normal and Jagua tattoo stickers?
We offer two distinct types of tattoo stickers depending on the look, color, and wear time you want:
  • Normal Stickers (White & Colorful Designs): These sit on top of the skin using skin-safe cosmetic inks. Colors are immediately bright and fully visible upon application, lasting about 2–7 days.
  • Jagua Stickers (Black Designs / Semi-Permanent): Made from natural Jagua fruit juice, these sink into the top layer of your skin (epidermis) and gently stain it like real tattoo ink. They appear faint at first, darken to a deep blue-black over 24–48 hours, and last significantly longer (1–2 weeks).
What are your temporary tattoo stickers made of?
  • Normal Stickers: Made with skin-safe cosmetic inks and breathable adhesive film.
  • Jagua Stickers: Formulated with natural extract from the Jagua fruit (Genipa americana), an organic plant traditionally used for skin art.
Both formulas are non-toxic and skin-friendly. For specific sensitivities, please check each product page or reach out to us.
How long do temporary tattoo stickers last?
  • Normal Stickers (Color & White): Last around 2–7 days, depending on placement, friction, and moisture.
  • Jagua Stickers (Black): Last around 1–2 weeks (10–14 days) because the formula binds to the skin's outer layer, fading naturally as your skin cells renew.
Areas with less friction (such as the upper arm, shoulder, or thigh) will last longer than high-movement or frequently washed areas (such as hands, wrists, or fingers).
Are your temporary tattoos safe for skin?
Yes, our tattoos are designed for normal, external skin use. Keep in mind:
  • General Patch Test: We recommend doing a small patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, or eczema.
  • Jagua Allergy Note: Because Jagua is an organic fruit extract, anyone with allergies to berries, citrus, or tropical fruit should do a patch test before applying larger designs.
  • Never apply tattoos to broken, irritated, sunburned, or infected skin.
Are the tattoos waterproof?
Yes, both types are water-resistant once set. Normal tattoos can withstand quick showers, while Jagua tattoos are especially resilient against water once fully developed. However, frequent swimming, scrubbing, oils, and hot tubs can accelerate fading.
Are your tattoos suitable for children?
Normal color stickers are suitable for supervised use by children with a patch test. We advise adult supervision and recommend checking product age guidance. Jagua semi-permanent tattoos are best suited for teens and adults.

How to Apply

How do I apply my tattoo sticker (Normal vs. Jagua)?
Normal Stickers (White & Color — Instant Reveal):
  1. Clean and thoroughly dry the skin (no lotion, oils, or perfume).
  2. Peel away the clear protective film.
  3. Place the design face-down on your skin.
  4. Press a wet cloth or sponge firmly against the backing paper for 20–30 seconds.
  5. Gently slide away the backing paper and let it air-dry. The full color shows immediately!
Jagua Stickers (Black — 24–48hr Development):
  1. Clean and dry the skin completely.
  2. Peel off the transparent film and place the sticker face-down on the skin.
  3. Press firmly with a wet cloth or sponge for 30 seconds until the paper is completely soaked.
  4. Slide off the backing paper gently. The skin will look translucent or very faint—this is expected!
  5. Let it dry completely. Avoid touching water or heavy sweating for the first 4–6 hours.
Why is my Jagua tattoo faint or invisible right after application?
This is completely normal! Jagua doesn't transfer instant paint; it is an organic plant dye that oxidizes and reacts with the amino acids in your skin over 24 to 48 hours:
  • 0–6 Hours: Looks transparent or very faint gray.
  • 12–24 Hours: Gradually darkens to a deep blue-gray.
  • 24–48 Hours: Reaches its peak darkness, developing into an authentic, dark blue-black tattoo appearance.
Sleep Tip for Jagua: On the first night after application, wear loose clothing or cover the area loosely so the developing design doesn't press against other bare skin while you sleep, which could leave a faint duplicate print!
Where should I apply my tattoo stickers?
For best results, apply to clean, dry, smooth skin with minimal hair and no lotion, oil, sunscreen, or makeup. Popular placements include the upper arm, wrist, shoulder, collarbone, back, ankle, leg and feet.
Can I apply a tattoo sticker over hair?
It can be applied over light hair, but designs adhere smoother and last longer on hair-free areas. For the cleanest result, choose a smooth area.
Can I use a temporary tattoo on my face?
Some normal designs may be suitable for the face, but avoid the eyes, lips, irritated skin, and broken skin. We do not recommend applying Jagua tattoos to the face because the stain lasts 1–2 weeks and cannot be removed immediately.
How long should I wait before getting the tattoo wet?
  • Normal Stickers: Let dry completely for 10–15 minutes before light water contact. Avoid scrubbing or hot baths for the first few hours.
  • Jagua Stickers: Keep dry for at least 4–6 hours so the natural dye can set into your skin cells. Avoid swimming or soaking in hot water during the first 24 hours of color development.
How can I make my temporary tattoo last longer?
  • Apply strictly to clean, dry, oil-free skin.
  • Avoid high-friction zones (tight waistbands, watch straps, or joints).
  • Keep body lotions, moisturizers, sunscreen, and oils away from the artwork.
  • Pat dry gently after bathing rather than rubbing with a towel.
  • Avoid harsh body scrubs or exfoliating products directly on the design.
Why does my tattoo look faded or incomplete?
This usually happens if skin had oil or lotion residue, the backing paper wasn't wet enough, or the backing was removed too quickly. For Jagua tattoos, remember that color requires 24–48 hours to fully develop.
Can I layer or combine tattoo designs?
Yes! You can create custom collages and sleeves by combining multiple designs. Let each design set and dry before placing another nearby.
Can I cut the tattoo sheet before applying it?
Yes. Carefully cut around the specific design you want to apply, leaving a small border around the artwork.

How to Remove

How do I remove a temporary tattoo (Normal vs. Jagua)?
Normal Stickers (Color & White):
  • Can be removed in minutes whenever you want!
  • Soak a cotton pad with baby oil, coconut oil, olive oil, makeup remover, or rubbing alcohol.
  • Gently rub the tattoo until it lifts away, then wash the skin with soap and warm water.
Jagua Stickers (Black / Semi-Permanent):
  • Because Jagua stains the outer layer of your skin, it cannot be wiped off immediately with alcohol, oil, or soap once it has developed.
  • It will naturally fade over 1–2 weeks as your skin sheds dead cells.
  • To speed up fading: Take warm showers or soak in a warm bath, and gently exfoliate the area once a day with a body scrub, loofah, or washcloth. Be gentle to prevent skin irritation.
Will temporary tattoos stain my skin permanently?
No, neither type is permanent. Normal tattoos wash off completely with oil or alcohol. Jagua tattoos stain only the dead surface layer of the epidermis, meaning the stain completely disappears as your skin naturally exfoliates over 1–2 weeks.
What should I do if I experience irritation?
If irritation occurs, stop use immediately. For normal tattoos, remove with gentle baby oil and wash with mild soap and cool water. For Jagua, wash thoroughly with cool water and avoid further exfoliation. If redness, itching, or swelling persists, consult a healthcare professional.
Can I apply tattoos on broken, sunburned, irritated, or tattooed skin?
No. Never apply temporary tattoos to broken, irritated, sunburned, healing, or infected skin.
